Bylaws Committee: Trooper Kelly Kraynak
The Bylaws are being reviewed in efforts to ensure our compliance. The suggested changes will be mailed out prior to the 2007 Fall Meeting when they should be voted on.
Fundraising Committee: Inspector Janice Kmetz
Treasurer MJ Russell has purchased several boxes of Munson's clocalates in a variety of flavors, all of which are being distributed to CAWP members for sale at their individual departments. Commit to selling a box and help CAWP the means of granting more scholarship money for 2008. If anyone has any fundraising ideas or would like to join the fundraising committee please contact Janice Kmetz at The Office of the Chief State's Attorney @ 860-258-5869.

Congratulations to Elsie Diaz of South Windsor PD for bringing two new members from South Windsor PD. Elsie chose to have $10 credited to her dues. Also Frances Dubose-Watson of Hartford PD for bringing a new Hartford PD Officer to the fall meeting. Frances also chose to have $5 credited towards her dues. You too can bring a new guest to a meeting and if they join you receive $5.00 off your dues or CAWP Merchandise.

Officer of the Year Gala Committee:
Renee Legeyt of Windsor PD is the Chair for the Officer of the Year Awards Gala. If you would like to help on Gala night please contact Renee at legeyt@townofwinsdsorct.com . Next year the Gala committee will be divided into individual tasks such as: Tickets, Power point presentation, programs, Banquet contact, guest speakers, etc.
Retirement Committee: Ofc. Alison Sullivan Should follow-up with retirees to give reports back to CAWP members and for the newsletter.
Scholarship Committee: Ofc. Gail McDonnell
The Scholarship committee met and has awarded 4 scholarships to High School Seniors majoring in Criminal Justice. The Scholarships have been awarded to the following students: Diana Rojas - Stonehill College; Jennifer Clark- Bay Path College; Kianna Manns- Southern CT State University; Chelsey Estrada – Bay Path College. If you have questions regarding the Scholarships or would like to be on the Scholarship committee, please contact Gail McDonnell at 860-742-7331. Scholarship applications are accepted and the winners are selected based on the criteria and the amount of the scholarship is based on CAWP's budget and need of the applciant.
Silent Auction Committee: Agent Judy Eide, Ofc. Alison Sullivan
SAC is responsible for numbering silent auction items and pricing the item for the silent auction form. Once the silent auction is closed, the winners need to be selected and the money is collected.
