Vice-Presidents Report: Detective Sergeant Elsie Diaz
Elsie attempted to get clarification regarding who was hosting spring 2010 and fall 2010. Corrine Sandburg recalled that CSP had agreed to host spring 2010 and that Alison from Montville PD had agreed to host fall 2010 meeting at the casino. Both of those will be looked into. Heather Chambers (Orange PD) agreed to host spring 2011.
Treasuer' Report: Detective Mary Jo Russell This report made available by contacting MJ Russell personally. CAWP is in one of the best financial positions it has been in years due to the rigorous fundraising for the scholarship fund.

Secretary's Report: Officer PeggySue Clouser Due to PeggySue’s absence, Elsie read the minutes of the spring 2009 meeting. Merchandise avaialble.
Fundraising Committee: Inspector Janice Kmetz
Janice Kmetz noted that in the past we’ve sold candles, entertainment books, tastefully simple etc. She is looking for other great ideas.
Gail spearheaded the flea market idea at the Mansfield Drive-In. The facility did not charge us for the space or tables because we are a non-profit. She thanked Corrine Sandburg for the use of her garage to store stuff. Gail noted that we tap into our membership for most of our fundraisers (silent auction and raffles etc). She suggested members conduct their own tag sales and earmark the funds for the CAWP scholarship fund.
Liz Maziarz asked for an update on the 50 years $50 challenge she made last year. MJ advised that we had 7 members donate for a total of $350.
Membership Committee: Detective Karla Rodriguez, Detective Mary Jo Russell. need volunteer to conduct membership drives....
Karla asked for members to supply her with a list of all the females in their departments so that we can compare to our list of members. Also any members that know women college students enrolled in a CJ program are encouraged to share info on our student membership that is free. Also membership application will be changed to include student member.

Officer of the Year Awards Committee: Ret. Lois Wack & Renee Legyt Nominate someone for Officer of the year awards, support the Gala and be a part of something really awesome that commends us all for the awesome officers that we are! To nominate contact wack@cawp.net

Retirement Committee: We need to keep up with this, it is important!
Scholarship Committee: Officer Candice Hendrix of Hartford P.D.
Gail noted that Candi Hendrix from Hartford PD is the new scholarship committee chair. She mentioned how rewarding of an experience it is to be able to help students in need. Gail encouraged others to consider volunteering on the scholarship committee. Duties include reviewing required paperwork and reading essays.
Judy Eide added that this year we had over 75 applications and many of the essays contained sad stories. She hopes that we can give more next year. She wants to set a goal of $7,000 to $10,000 for next year.
