CAWP ANNUAL INVITATIONAL SHOOT 2007

On June 29th, 2007 the Connecticut Association of Women Police held its seventh Invitational Shoot at the Connecticut State Police Firearms Training Unit in Simsbury, CT. Seventeen women from eight different police departments participated in the day’s events. The focus of the training is always to improve basic marksmanship skills in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. All participated in a variety of activities including ball and dummy drills, circle drills, draw and holster 1 ½ second drill, the steel plate challenge, an exertion course and skeet shoot. The day concluded with a picnic style lunch and giveaways for all who participated.
