The Connecticut Association of Women Police (CAWP) is pleased to announce that it is offering Scholarship Awards to be used by students to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. All candidates will be evaluated based on their achievements in relation to the entire pool of applicants. The scholarship will be awarded by June 1, 2008. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following guidelines and criteria:
1. Applicants must be graduating from an accredited high school for that calendar year.
2. Applicants (male or female) must be applying to a criminal justice program.
3. The CAWP Scholarship Application must be completed on (both sides) and returned to CAWP and include the following information.
- High School Transcript
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor
- A personal essay of 200-250 words telling why the candidate should be selected for this scholarship
- A copy of a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form for the 2008-2009 School Year
4. Applications must be postmarked by April 30, 2008 and mailed to:
